Federation is a decentralized
and participatory mode
of management of sanghas.
It carries a process towards
sustenance of MS philosophy.
Through a way long struggle,
Sangha women gets acceptance
at both the spheres of
life- family life and
outside the family life.
This way of long struggle
sometimes creates an opportunity
to share the Sangha's
experiences at larger
level and thus extends
mobility of women from
village level to gram
panchayat level and then
to block level, and, thus
federation have formed------(a
tremendous experience
of AMSS).
Nari Adalat (Women's
Court) has been evolved
at gram panchayat level
to deal with the legal
issues coming into the
light of Mahila sanghas
or sometimes when someone
appeals to Sanghas or
to Nari Adalats. Appearance
of Nari Adalat has resulted
some social modifications
-- new opinions and thoughts
have arose in the society
towards dowry, divorce,
polygamy etc. The Dondua
Gram Panchayat Nari Adalat
of Morigaon district has
settled 76 No of cases
alone in the gram panchayat
itself within four years
.

Initially,
formation of Kishori
Manch was not a prior
activity of AMSS.
While talked to these
women at different
situations regarding
the problems faced
by a woman in her
life ,then , they
recalled their childhood
. Very often, they
expressed if they
could have got the
chance to talk these
at early age or if
our parents could
have learnt the importance
of girl's life, then
today, we could have
played a significant
positive role in the
society. These kind
of expressions of
rural women opened
the eyes of AMSS to
think in a different
way to work with the
issues of Girl child
as well as Adolescents
that resulted a structure
--- KISHORI MANCH(
a platform of adolescent
girl) in AMSS operating
